{Video} Parents Text Late That Their Child Won’t Be Here! Help!

This question came in anonymously, but I’m sure all daycare providers have dealt with it at one time or another. My advice is that you may have to cut your losses this time, but I’ve got some pointers on how to avoid it happening again!

    Hey Megan,
This is one of the reasons why since early on I have my policies set that there is “no discount given for sick days, arriving late, etc.” Whether or not I am given notice that day or not (and sometimes they don’t even call and I have to) it can affect the ratio, work schedule and all of the other things you mentioned. All of which cannot easily be changed on a moments notices. So no discount come, don’t come. They are paying for the spot not whether or not they use the spot.
