The Help

IMAG3417My kids have the day off school today, and I’m really enjoying the slave labour extra help around the house.  We’ve managed to clean the bathrooms, clean the bedrooms, do three beds worth of linens, do the dusting, mop the floors and clean the baseboards.  Not to shabby for a morning’s worth of work!

So now … it’s break time!  Pull up a chair and a cup of coffee.  Welcome To The Zoo has been making some visits around the interwebs, and, in true Megan-style, I’m going to invite you along on those visits (in the virtual sense of the term, of course!).   Because, as my friends will tell you, I’m always happy to invite people over to other people’s houses.  Yeah … I’m working on that.

If you take your family to church every week, you are no stranger to Sunday Morning Mayhem. Anyway, about a week ago, I was very honoured to be included on Rebekah’s blog, at A Soft Gentle Voice. The post was entitled “Calming the Sunday Morning Mayhem”.  Hitting home at all?

 And over at Mommy Hot Spot, Welcome To The Zoo made it’s Contributing Author debut with a post entitled “5 Tips For Entertaining In A Small Space“.  I’m looking forward to contributing to Mommy Hot Spot at least once a month, so keep an eye out!

Raise your hand if you live in a McMansion.  Anybody?  No?  Me neither. {more …}

I also made a few stops at Savvymom.ca, Bloggymoms.com and Blogher.com to share some posts you’ve already read right here at Welcome To The Zoo.

And in other news, I’ve been in contact with a wonderful kids’ clothing company (a Canadian one — bonus!).  In the near future, we may be running a contest or two for some absolutely adorable outfits for one lucky kiddo — maybe yours!  Stay tuned for details.

Well, my cup is empty.  I suppose it’s time to tackle that vaccuuming.

No, wait.  I think this may be a job for the now-unionized group of children currently drinking hot chocolate in my kitchen.  Back to work, kiddos!

    Megan,

    I was honoured to have you. It was a wonderful first guest post to the series. Thank you!

    The new sight looks great! Looks like the wrinkles are getting ironed out! All your hard work is paying off. 😉 I may have to pick your brain one day if I ever decide to make the switch!

    Glad you are enjoying a clean home tonight! My little one wanted me to wear a skirt today to twirl with her so I felt too ‘dressed up’ to clean toilets and decided we’d go grocery shopping instead. It’s the excuse I going with anyway! 😉

      Thank you! Yes, the site is sloooowly getting there. I’ll have to tell you how many views I lost in the process though … maybe you’ll be able to avoid the mistakes I made if and when you switch!

      Twirly skirts are the best! And definitely worth putting off the cleaning ;-).
