Life In General

We are Canadian.  We are the True North, Strong and Free.

Yesterday a bad thing happened.  A bad man (maybe more) attacked Ottawa and as a result, our nation.

What did he think he would accomplish?  Did he plan on dying as a result of his actions?  Did he think that what he did would attract others to his cause?

Maybe he was crazy, maybe he was completely rational in planning out his attack.

Either way,  it didn’t work.  And here’s why:

Because we are Canadian.

We understand the sacrifices our grandfathers and grandmothers made on our behalf.  We understand the cost of freedom, and that it never comes free.

We are proud of our heritage and our future, and we have plans that don’t include giving away what we’ve fought so hard for.

We will defend ourselves.  We will protect our own, and others too.

We will ensure that justice prevails.

Because we are Canadian.  We are the True North, Strong and Free.

“Let there be no misunderstanding, we will not be intimidated.

Canada will never be intimidated.”

– Prime Minister Stephen Harper
